Adoption of the 1689 Confession of Faith

We have adopted the 1689 Confession of Faith as a statement of the doctrines we hold to be clearly taught in Scripture. These doctrines, carefully outlined and applied, serve as a faithful summary of biblical truth.

We are deeply grateful for the work of the Reformers, who labored diligently to contend for the Christian faith and restore a gospel-centered approach to the church. To them, these were not mere theoretical doctrines but a living faith that stood firm under trial and persecution.

In addition, we affirm the Five Solas of the Protestant Reformation as a helpful framework for understanding the gospel. While the Word of God remains our ultimate authority, we recognize the value of the 1689 Confession in safeguarding our church from being swayed doctrinally and ensuring faithfulness to the teachings of Scripture.

As a practical commitment, we will read a chapter from the confession each Lord’s Day during our worship service, seeking to ground our church in sound doctrine and practice.

To God alone be the glory through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
